Touches wide range of industries and markets with “Easy to Use” Web Based
Routing Software
Since the launch in March of this year
C2RouteApp® has been deployed to a variety of different industries across
the United States. These industries
all have one thing in common, they have workers in
the field that need to get to locations to keep the business going.
Some of the applications that
C2RouteApp® is helping customers
make their route planning more efficient include,
Pick up and Delivery: This
includes customers that move such items as Office Equipment, Medical Tests
and Reports, Propane and Fuel Delivery, Produce and Grocery delivery to
retail outlets, even “Over the Road” Long Haul Trucking with overnight
routes.
Field Service: Customers in this area include
repair and replacement applications including delivery and repair of trash
carts, Pest Control and Extermination Services, Parking Lot Sweepers.
Waste Hauling: These applications include
Commercial Pick-up, and Bulky Item Pick-up.
Route Sales: Customers include, Alarm Sales,
Political Candidate Canvassers, Food and Beverage Sales, and more.
C2Logix Announces Partnership with CD SRVS to offer “Rouditor”; a combination of Route Optimization and
Dispatch Management
Rouditor will allow for
dynamic routing and communication with the field worker in real time while
the dispatcher can see exactly what stops have been completed and where the
worker is at any point in time.
This partnership will allow customers to
enjoy the ability to optimize their stops and move the information directly
to the field via and application housed on an android tablet or phone. The application allows the worker to see
what stop is next, look at it on a map for directions, and complete the call
with a simple tap of the screen. The
information is relayed back to the dispatcher where they can see the
disposition of each stop as well as see where the worker is at any point in
time. This is especially useful when
there is an emergency stop or change in the route. These changes can be done on the fly and
will allow flexibility during the day while insuring the most efficient and
cost effective routes are run.

C2Logix and FleetRoute™ Now Providing Routes
for Meter Readers
C2Logix was recently awarded a contract to
optimize the routes for Meter Readers of a large utility commission in
Central Florida. This project will
allow the commission to optimize routes of meter readers who record
readings of utility meters of approximately 313,000 customers within the
commission’s service area.
This project is expected to make the task of
reading these meters every month faster, more organized, and much more
efficient. This will assure that
meters are read at the same time each month and done with the least amount
of labor and travel. The savings
expected include less driving miles, faster execution of the meter reading
task, and less labor hours to accomplish the readings each month.
Winter is Just
Around the Corner…And That Means SNOW! And with Snow, There is SNOW PLOWING!
C2Logix is now involved in optimizing snow
plow routes for cities and towns in some of those “colder” climates across
the country.
Route Optimization for snow plow routes
makes a lot of sense for municipalities because it assures that every
street gets serviced in a fashion that allows the most expedient and most economical
snow removal possible. With the high
cost of fuel it is important to insure that the snow removal task is
accomplished in the most efficient manner.
Typically, customers save an excess of 15% in mileage with route
optimization utilized in their operation.
C2Logix has seen projects get over 25% savings.
Fuel is not the only savings to be
gained. Ice and snow melting
chemicals can be very expensive and often are a key element of budget
overruns. Route optimization can
help insure that these chemicals are used in the most efficient method
possible.
Safety is another area that can be improved
with route optimization. When there
is a nasty winter storm snow plow drivers are pushed to their physical
limits working long hours causing fatigue and potential accidents. With optimized routes it is typical that
the amount of time it takes to cover the required roads is dramatically
shortened. That means that the
drivers are not physically taxed as they have been in the past and it means
less overtime expense for the municipality.
I am happy to report that C2Logix has seen a lot of
positive change since our last issue of C2-Dispatch.
We have launched C2RouteApp®, our web based Route
Optimization application. I believe that this application can be a “Game
Changer” for most companies with field workers. C2RouteApp® was designed with 3 basic

In the past few months, C2Logix has been selected for
several new assignments, including:
Scherzinger Pest Control – They use
C2RouteApp® to route pest control technicians to customer locations. Routes are planned up to 3 months in
advance using C2RouteApp®’s advanced features.
The City of Wilmington Delaware – Wilmington uses
C2RouteApp® to route vehicles to manage bulky waste pick up for items such
as appliances from residences. They
utilize the Application Program Interface (API) that is available in
C2RouteApp® so that the data gets moved directly from their call center
software directly into the routing application so that there is no manually
intervention required to create the routes.
Cedar Country Cooperative – Cedar Country uses
C2RouteApp® to route its propane delivery trucks to customers in a logical
and efficient order. A key to
choosing C2RouteApp® was because the application keeps track of the amount
of propane that is dispensed and routes the vehicles in such a way that
they are near the reloading point which keeps the amount of “dead-head”
travel to an absolute minimum.
